Advantages of using refrigerater R32 in heat pumps
The latest generation of air source heat pumps Blue Boson used refrigerant R32 that is more environmentally friendly than other conventional refrigerants.
Compliant with F-Gas Regulations
As the government implements measures to carry out its Clean Growth Strategy to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, the demand for renewable heating products, such as air source heat pumps, will further increase over the coming years. As a result, producers are working hard to increase the efficiency of their renewable heating products and make them as environmentally friendly as they can. This is one of the causes behind the increasing use of R32 refrigerant in air source heat systems.
The rising usage of R32 refrigerant is also being driven by EU regulations. With the adoption of a number of targets intended to restrict the use of gases with the highest Global Warming Potential (GWP), the 2014 EU Fluorinated Greenhouse Gas (F-Gas) Regulations is legislation meant to gradually reduce the use of hydrofluorocarbons. The greenhouse warming potential (GWP) of greenhouse gases, particularly HFC refrigerants, is a measurement of their influence on the atmosphere and greenhouse effect. Due to its significantly lower GWP than other common heat pump refrigerants like R410a, R32 conforms with the F-Gas laws’ current legislative objectives.
R32 refrigerant has a 70% less lower carbon emissions than R410a refrigerant. As a result, R32 refrigerant is more environmentally friendly and contributes to the products it is utilized in being more durable.
R32 has no temperature glide because it is a single-component refrigerant. Temperature glide occurs in refrigerant blends with two or more components, but since R32 only contains one molecule during creation, its saturated liquid and vapor temperatures are the same.
The chance of the refrigerant gliding away is eliminated, making it easier for the system to recharge and recycle. As a result, R32 refrigerant not only improves system effectiveness but also requires less of it to operate, further lowering emissions.
Higher efficiency and cheaper energy
Significantly increased efficiency are one of the main advantages of R32 refrigerant. A heat pump can operate at substantially higher efficiency thanks to its capacity to recharge and recycle more efficiently than with some other refrigerants. A more effective heat pump is more environmentally friendly, uses less energy, and can lower household energy costs.
